Dentures can break from time to time for many reasons. If the denture breaks in the mouth then it is usually for a good reason:

  • Poor fit
  • Excessive force

Your dentist should check the fit of your denture regularly. Repairing a denture that keeps breaking due to poor fit can became expensive and if more than 5 years old then consideration  should be given to replacing it with a new one and keeping the old one as a spare. Discuss this with your dentist.

In the unfortunate circumstance that your denture has broken, you can take it to your dentist where they will send it to a laboratory for repair. Alternatively you could arrange to bring it directly to us where we usually repair most fractures within 1 hour
